When I was interviewed for my show at WorkSound International, the painter Jack Featherly, commented that I was a "Denier of Shadows." He was referring to a common approach I have to manipulate  spacial depth, but I loved that phrase for its metaphorical possibilities.   I find it an apt description in relation to this body of work that stubbornly inhabits the world of sunny good times.
